Curriculum Review - Large Group/Small Group - Group's Living Inside-Out!

Living Inside OutI reviewed Living Inside Out from Group Publishing two years ago and based on what I remember from three years ago, and the one lesson I was able to see on-line, Living Inside Out could be a good "fit" for many churches looking for a Large Group/Small Group curriculum. Allow me to share with you some information about Group's Living Inside Out curriculum!
  • Publisher - Group Publishing
  • Website -
  • Price - $300 per quarter for all age levels . . . preschool through elementary in one box
  • Type - Large Group/Small Group
  • Scope - Topical
  • Unified Scope and Sequence - there is a three year scope and sequence
Strengths -
  • Biblically Sound
  • Student and Small Group Leader materials are reproducible
  • Children are intentionally engaged throughout the lesson with activities and questions/discussions - the children are engaged in the lessons by being able to help with some of the lessons
  • Scope is topical and from one month to the next children move through the Bible - Old and New Testament lessons . . . by the end of the three year scope children will have covered most of the major lessons/themes in the Bible.
  • They have weekly - "live-it" activities to help children take what they learn out the doors of the church and live it in their everyday lives every day
  • They have a Unified Scope and Sequence
  • Parent materials are included so parents are able to continue the learning at home throughout the week
  • Colorful graphics
  • Teacher devotions/Bible backgrounds are well written and help volunteers understand and see the "big picture" of what they want the kids to learn
Would like to see -
  • Quarterly service projects to "Put Feet to Their Faith"
  • Optional Second Service materials
  • An opportunity for volunteers to pray Scripture for each child to bless them
Living Inside Out is written with the goal of intentionally engaging children so they are able to remember, understand and live God's Word for genuinely changed lives. Group says, "Living Inside Out helps kids learn to connect with God and others so they will be able to dare to live their life 24/7!"
