VBS 2016 - Side-by-Side Comparison Chart

The past two weeks I've been sharing my 2016 VBS reviews with you, so today I'm happy to post my 2016 VBS Side-by-Side comparison chart. Please note, each and every VBS I review is one which has solid Bible teaching, solid Bible lessons; a focus on helping children understand and live God's Word. Each and every one. There is not one which, "puts the Bible back into VBS", because they all have the Bible solidly woven into each and every part of their VBS. This means you can choose any of these resources - or better yet, several of these resources, and know when you do, the children in your ministry will be engaged and learning about what God's Word has to say to them.

My chart has value in the following ways . . .
  1. It will help you narrow down the VBS resources which have the features you are looking for. Do you want a VBS with a strong evangelistic focus, because you know the majority of children you will be serving have not yet made a decision to trust Jesus? My chart will help you discern which resources will be the best "fit" for you. Are you looking for a VBS resource which engages children in serving your community? My chart will help you discern which resources will be the best "fit" for you. Are you looking for both an evangelistic focus and a resource which engages children in serving? My chart will help you discern which resources will be the best "fit" for you.
  2. Are you looking for Bible events which you have not covered recently? My chart can help you discern which resources will be the best "fit" for you.
  3. Are you a first-time VBS director? Are you looking for resources with complete director's information to help guide you as you plan your VBS? My chart will help you discern which resources will be the best "fit" for you.
You will find my chart at this link and are welcome to email it to your VBS/church team, as well as print copies for your team to use when you attend VBS workshops or sit down to decide which VBS is the best "fit" for your ministry this year. (Please just note where you found the chart.)

Thank you for reading About the Children's Department - I pray the reviews and chart will be helpful resources for you. (And, don't forget, I have several VBS giveaways which begin tomorrow - January 26, 2016!)

  1. For the setting on Ocean Commotion, your chart says castles with knights, maidens and armor, but the Answers website looks more like ocean creatures.

  2. Submerged also looks like an ocean theme, not a theme park.
