One year ago we were all shocked and horrified as the news reports brought the earthquake in Haiti and the devastation, death and destruction that followed into our living rooms. So much suffering. So much heartache. So much sadness. People around the world responded - and rightly so - and yet now, a year later there is still so much suffering, heartache and sadness as a government in shambles adds to the difficulty in helping those who so desperately need the help.
One day after the earthquake, Samaritan's Purse was in Haiti bringing help and hope to people whose lives had been literally turned upside down. They have been there for the past year and have made the commitment to continue to help for years to come building temporary shelters, building and operating medical clinics, distributing food, clean water and most importantly, sharing the Good News of Jesus with the people of Haiti!
Our children know what happened in Haiti and they want to help . . . this is the ideal opportunity for us to "Put Feet to Their Faith" and team up with Samaritan's Purse to help the people in Haiti. Monday I'll be sharing information on specific ways you can involve the children in your ministry to help the people of Haiti through Samaritan's Purse, but for now take a moment and watch these clips from Samaritan's Purse to see what they are doing and get a vision for how the children in your ministry can "Put Feet to Their Faith" and help make a difference in Haiti!
