Touch Bases on VBS - Volunteer Recruitment!

Each month until Summer I will "Touch Bases on VBS" and provide some tips, ideas and info which will hopefully be helpful for you as you plan your Vacation Bible School for 2011. Today I want to focus on recruiting volunteers! If you haven't already checked out VolunteerSpot.com, take a moment to do so. They enable you to quickly mobilize and coordinate volunteers in your church with their simple sign-up to make it easy for your church members to say "Yes" to volunteering! VolunteerSpot plans to release their special features for VBS soon, but check them out and see how they can help you organize and recruit for VBS 2011!

As you determine your volunteer needs for VBS 2011, commit to recruit with enthusiasm and excellence! VBS is a valuable opportunity to reach into your community and touch children and families who do not attend your church! It is also an excellent opportunity to further disciple the children from your church! It is a privilege and honor to serve God by volunteering in VBS, so never beg for volunteers. Present the opportunity and trust God will move in people's hearts to get involved! Check your director's info for recruiting info and resources and don't forget my posts on recruiting for ideas as well.
