We all want to see the children in our ministries learn to live what they believe. One way we can help them do this is by involving them in service projects such as the ones I highlight each month with my "Put Feet to Their Faith" ministry focus. The ministry I'm focusing on this month is not well known, but it is one children may easily be involved with. The Star Sunday School & Youth Ministry in Pakistan is the ministry of Daniail Bashir - he serves 30 Sunday schools of nearly 1000 children in different villages and urban areas throughout his area of the Punjab, Pakistan! Pakistan is a strongly Muslim country and does not have freedom of religion. Involve the children in your ministry in praying for Daniail and the children in his ministry. Pray they will be able to share the Good News of Jesus with the children in Pakistan and for the children so they will be able to grow in their walk with Jesus!
In addition to praying, consider involving your kids in a very "hands-on" project. One thing these children enjoy is coloring . . . which brings me to the service project with which you could involve the children in your ministry. Involve your kids in a project to provide crayons and coloring pages for the children in Pakistan. Challenge your kids to donate new boxes of crayons and money to pay for shipping them to Pakistan. In addition, make use of your copy machine and print out some of the free coloring pages from Ministry-to-Children's website - Daniail said he doesn't have the ability to print these pages for the children in his ministry - these pages are free to download and print; I'd recommend the Easter and Days of creation coloring pages.
Pakistan is very far away and it is difficult to share the Good News of Jesus with the Pakistani Children, but the Star Sunday School & Youth Ministry is doing exactly this! You and the children of your ministry can have a part in this by praying and by sending crayons and coloring pages for them to use!
