One Day Away From Our 1st Anniversary - A Look Back!!!

Tomorrow, November 24th, is the one year anniversary of About the Children's Department! First of all, thank you to all of you who take time to read my blog. I most sincerely appreciate it!


So, what has the past year looked like??? Well . . . 

• one of the things I'm most happy about is my "Put Feet to Their Faith" ministry focus for each month! Each and every month I focus on a specific ministry and give ideas of ways you could involve the children - and families - in your ministry to "Put Feet to Their Faith" and help them learn to live what they learn while developing a heart for serving others! My "Put Feet to Their Faith" ministry projects for the past year have been - WorldHelp's CauseLife, Samaritan's Purse Haiti Relief, Angel Tree Camping, Kidz Konnect 4 Jesus, Star Sunday School & Youth Ministry, Food Drive for a local food pantry, Samaritan's Purse Mosquito Net Project, World Vision/Pur Clean Water Project, WorldHelp Christmas for an Orphan, New Tribes Mission Bible for the Mwinika People, and Samaritan's Purse Gift Catalog.
• my most read posts related to VBS - and the entire month of January I focused on VBS with reviews, my top ten countdown and side-by-side comparison charts. (This January I'll be focusing on VBS for 2012!!!)
• in March my blog was honored to be included in Ministry-to-Children's 2011 Blog Madness competition - we made it into the second round! Thank you everyone who voted for About the Children's Department!!!
• the month of April I focused on curriculum reviews for Sunday School and Children's Church and once again provided reviews and a side-by-side comparison chart
• In June I looked at mid-week curriculum with more reviews and another side-by-side comparison chart!
• in September About the Children's Department was again honored to be included in Ministry-to-Children's Top 100 Children's Ministry Blogs for 2011 - we placed 47th!!! Again, THANK YOU to everyone who reads this blog!
• all year I've posted about recruiting, supporting encouraging, thanking and training volunteers, children's ministry safety and freebies!

And for the stats . . . we have people from 118 countries reading About the Children's Department, as of this moment we are at 59,736 page views and 197 facebook likes! Again, a heartfelt and sincere Thank you!!!! It has been a wonderful first year!
