Family Resource - 365 Ways to Say "I LOVE YOU" to Your Kids!

Resources. We are always looking for resources to use in our children's ministries, but how often do we look for resources to put in the hands of parents and grandparents? If we are serious about being as effective as possible in our children's ministries, then we need to be serious and intentional about looking for, finding and making available to parents, resources which will better equip them as the primary teachers and disciplers of their children. I'm very happy to share one such resource with you today . . .
365 Ways to Say "I Love You" to Your Kids
Author - Jay Payleitner
Publisher - Harvest House

Favorite Features -
  • great introduction explaining and showing how love is a verb, as the author says, "Becoming a parent is biology. But being a parent is not science at all. It's about unexpected discoveries, sweet serendipitous moments, heart-wrenching confrontations, breathless bouts of confusion and quiet soul-satisfying triumphs. Mostly, parenting is about just being there and showing your kids you love them somehow every single day.
  • provides 365 ways to say, "I LOVE YOU" - some serious, some no-brainers, some unique and many simply silly!
  • some ways you say you love your kids involve teaching them important things - like telling the truth, being responsible, respecting others
This little book is one all parents should have - and use! Recommend it to the parents in your ministry and refer to it often! (And, recommend it to your volunteers as well as many of the 365 ways to say "I LOVE YOU" would be great for volunteers to use with the children in their classes/groups, too!)
