Let's Pray for the Children in Uganda . . . and Help

It is all over the news about the effort to arrest Joseph Kony for the crimes he has and continues to commit against children and the people of Uganda. I absolutely agree this man needs to be arrested and held accountable for the terrible things he has done. The children who have suffered by being abducted and forced into prostitution or his army need to be helped, but I would not give money to the organizers of this effort. I would instead give money to Samaritan's Purse because they not only do the needed work to help children and the people of Uganda, but they do the most important thing of pointing them to Jesus.

So, yes, spread the news of the effort to draw the world's attention to the necessity of arresting Joseph Kony. Yes, pray for these children who are being abused and killed. And if you are able to give, give to Samaritan's Purse or a ministry like them, where they not only provide physical help, but point people to Jesus as well!
