Put Feet to Their Faith - blood:water mission - 2 Weeks of Sacrifice

Last week I introduced the Put Feet to Their Faith ministry focus for the month of April - the blood:water mission. I encouraged you to involve the children in your ministry in their Lemon:Aid project . . . and I have to say, it is a perfect and wonderful way to involve the children in your ministry in helping people in Africa through the blood:water mission. Today, I'd like to encourage you to consider another way you could involve the children - and entire families - in helping people in Africa through the blood:water mission . . . 2 Weeks of Sacrifice. As they say, "2 Weeks Can Change a Life. By giving up what you'd normally drink in exchange for the water from your tap you can save that money to help build clean water projects for African communities in need. Make water your only beverage for 2 weeks. Save the money you would usually spend on beverages. After 2 weeks, donate the money you saved by making such a simple choice and give someone clean water for a lifetime. So ditch the morning coffee and o.j., leave out the lunchtime soda, and cancel the evening beverage. With $1 providing clean water for 1 person for an entire year, imagine the impact you can make! You'll need a little self-discipline. But we know you can do it, because you know who you're doing it for. Make the choice. We've provided the resources for you to organize your friends and family to get the word out and help you keep track of what you're saving."

This is a wonderful way to get your entire church "on-board" and involved in the project to help the people of Africa through the blood:water mission! You will even find a link where you can download resources such as posters to help you with your 2 weeks of sacrifice. Just think . . . an amount as small as $1 can provide clean water for one person for an entire year! If each person in your church only saved $1 you'd be able to provide clear water for a year for a lot of people! The blood:water mission is absolutely intentional about providing the resources you need to become involved in their mission, so take a look and see what you can do to involve the people in your church in making a difference with the 2 weeks of sacrifice!
