I LOVE the strong messages of trusting God, knowing your real value comes from being loved by God, sharing God's love with others by the way you treat them whether they are rich or poor, generosity, kindness and compassion! I appreciate how they tied the story to the account of Joseph and how he was mistreated, but because he knew who he really was - a child of God - he was able to trust God! There are so many wonderful messages for families to talk with their children about! In a day and age where cartoon characters are rude, crude and socially unacceptable, it is such a relief to know we can depend on VeggieTales to provide stories with characters who actually teach and model character! This story gives us the opportunity to remind our own little princesses - or princes - being a "true princess - or prince - is not about fancy clothes or riches, but who you are in God's eyes and trusting God!" Challenge them to love all, "no matter what!" Watch the Penniless Princess with your children and encourage them to show who they really are by the way they share God's love with others!
VeggieTales, the Penniless Princess - God's Little Girl releases on August 11th which is now just around the corner! Hooray!
