Put Feet to Their Faith with Operation Christmas Child!

Put Feet to Their FaithIf you are looking for a service project for the children in your ministry; one which they will be able to understand and get excited about working on, consider Operation Christmas Child! This is a project children, small groups - and families - can work on together as they purchase items to fill a shoe box for a child and then pray for the child.

Plan some fund-raising events and then send groups out to buy the items for their boxes. Plan a packing party and be sure to spend time praying for the children and families who will learn about Jesus when they receive their boxes of gifts! Check the video of a church which had a kids triathlon to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. If you can not arrange for a pool for the swimming portion, make your own triathlon of other events - obstacle course, running and book reading! Or book reading, singing and dancing! Or . . . whatever three events you want to choose!

Whatever you do to raise money for the items which go in the boxes, be sure to spend time praying for the children and families who receive the boxes because while giving children gifts is a wonderful thing, giving them the opportunity to learn about Jesus and His amazing love and grace is an incredible thing!

Operation Christmas Child . . . there is still time to involve the children, small groups and families in your church in a project to fill boxes for children this year!  How will you "Put Feet to Their Faith" at your church?
