VeggieTales the League of Incredible Vegetables . . . I'm Giving One Away!
I can not even begin to express how happy I am to share this new Veggie story with you . . . The League of Incredible Vegetables not only is great fun, but the message is one I especially wanted my grandson to hear! My sweet Josiah is almost four years old and he has been having "scary dreams" lately, so when I heard this new Veggie story was going to deal with fear and trusting God, I was very happy! When I heard it was going to have Veggie "super heroes" in it, well, I couldn't wait for it to arrive as my house has been "blessed" to have "Super Josiah" here when Josiah visits - he loves being a "super hero"! I thought this combination would be perfect for my sweet grandson! Well, I wasn't even able to come close to guessing how much Josiah would lovethe League of Incredible Vegetables! Josiah watched it one time and said,"I really LIKE this!" He told me, "I'm not a vegetable, but, I am still part of the League of Incredible Vegetables! I'm fighting the bad penguins I am NOT afraid!" He said he has power because he trusts God! I LOVE this new Veggie story - boys are sure to be big fans of the League of Incredible Vegetables! We used Poppa's barbecue apron to make a super-cape for Josiah because we now have a new "super hero" at our house when he is over . . . "Lickety Split" - his "super power" is the ability to move very fast! Big Idea has absolutely "hit it out of the park" with the League of Incredible Vegetables . . . children will not only love the story, but they will "get it", too! This powerful message about being able to defeat fear by trusting in God when we are afraid is one children - and adults - need to hear. "VeggieTales®: The League of Incredible Vegetables, releases on October 13 and October 16, 2012 in Christian and general market stores respectively. Based on Psalm 56:3 (ESV) which says, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You,” the title helps teach a lifelong lesson in handling fear, one of the most requested subject topics by VeggieTales fans and families, and includes a brand-new League theme song and music video by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning group, Newsboys." As Big Idea says, "It was a bright and sunny day in Bumblyburg until Dr. Flurry came to town. This chillin' villain wants to freeze the entire city in fear! The job is too big for LarryBoy to handle alone, so he turns to "The League of Incredible Vegetables" for help! Thingamabob (Bob the Tomato), S-Cape (Mr. Lunt), Vogue (Petunia Rhubarb) and Ricochet (Junior Asparagus) are up for the task, but find their own fears could land them in Dr. Flurry's deep freeze! Will they remember to turn to the One who is bigger than all their fears before the whole town ends up on ice? Find out in this heroic new VeggieTales episode with a lesson on handling fear!"
As you can expect, this new Veggie story has solid messages, familiar Veggie friends, a new Silly Song and humor - my husband was laughing out loud as he watched it with Josiah! They also provide an opportunity for families to get involved with WorldVision to help children in need around the world - I love this focus on serving and helping others! Josiah had to watch the League of Incredible Vegetables several times and then when it was time to go home, he looked at me and asked in the sweetest voice ever, "Could I take the League of Incredible Vegetables home?" Of course I said "yes"! Not only am I happy he has a "super hero" movie he can watch and enjoy, but the message is one I want him to take to heart and find comfort and strength in knowing . . . when he is afraid, he can put his trust in God! Thank you Big Idea for the League of Incredible Vegetables, this is one grandma who is very happy for this new veggie story!
