It's Time to Think about Christmas - a Nativity Set for Each Child!

The first year my husband and I were married, he got me the Precious Moments Nativity Set . . . this was 31 Christmases ago! Every year I love setting up my Nativity Set . . . on Thanksgiving, after dinner while my husband sets up the tree! We have a bay window in our living room and the tree goes in the window; I set the Nativity Set in the window as well with the kings traveling across the living room to the Nativity because I want the focus to be on the Reason for the Season.

So, when I saw ideas for making your own Nativity set on Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to let the kids make their own set each week leading up to Christmas! Each week have the children add to their set by making additional pieces to take home.

  • Week 1 - Joseph, Mary and the Donkey
  • Week 2 - Angels and the Shepherds
  • Week 3 - Sheep
  • Week 4 - baby Jesus and the Star
  • Week 5 - after Christmas - the Three Wise Men
Spread the word through church you need all the empty medicine bottles and/or toilet paper tubes you can get your hands on! Collect scraps of cloth, make circles for faces and you are ready to begin creating!

Celebrate Christmas all month long!
