He is Risen & Ever Lives and Pleads For Us!

Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday, so I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite songs which talks about how Jesus, my Perfect, Sinless Savior died and made an end to all my sin. Before the Throne of God is an old song, but it is beautiful! I especially love how the Go Fish Guys sang this, so I'm sharing their video with you. Look at the lyrics and enjoy this song!

Before the throne of God above I have a strong, a perfect plea. A great High Priest whose Name is Love Who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart. I know that while in heaven He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart. No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair And tells me of the guilt within. Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end to all my sin. Because the sinless Savior died, My sinful soul is counted free. For God the Just is satisfied To look on Him and pardon me. To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb. My perfect spotless righteousness! The great unchangeable I Am, The King of glory and of grace. One with Himself I cannot die. My soul is purchased by His blood. My life is hid with Christ on high. With Christ my Savior and my God! With Christ my Savior and my God!

The cross and the empty tomb means I have a Great High Priest, a Sinless Savior, a Perfect Spotless, Risen Lamb who ever lives and pleads for me! No tongue ca tell me to leave; tell me I have no hope because the truth is Jesus is there and He did make an end to all my sin because He died and rose for me so my sinful soul will be counted free! God does look at Him and pardon me! My soul is purchased by His blood and is hid with Christ on high! He is my Savior and my God and I am so tremendously thankful!

This is why we remember and celebrate! It is so much more than "Easter" . . . it is about the Resurrection and is the single most important day in all of history - the day when Jesus defeated sin and death by His resurrection!

It is why we minister to children and families . . . so we can share the Good News so others will be able to find the forgiveness and freedom which is available to them before the throne of God!
