- First, dreams can come true! It will likely take some time and work, but those are good things! Get your dreams on paper, assemble a team of people - in and out of your church - and evaluate which "dreams" would allow you to be more effective in the ministry of reaching children and families for Jesus and equipping them to grow in their walk with Him. Help others catch the vision for your dreams and then stand back and watch what God will do!
- Secondly, dreams give us concrete ways to see God at work in our midst. It is good to dream, but we need to know it is God Who works in us - Philippians 2:13 - "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." It can be discouraging when we get so busy "trudging" along that we fail to stop and see what God is doing in us to fulfill His good purpose! Stop and notice what God is doing!
- And finally, when we reach out and involve others - particularly in our wider communities - then we are fulfilling God's good purpose! Working to accomplish a "dream" . . . especially when we do this with believers from other churches in our community . . . shows our watching unsaved neighbors we really do love one another. "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35. When we join forces with other believers in our communities, those around us will be able to see Who we really belong to. We attend a church, but we belong to Jesus!
