Focus on Child Safety

As you gear up for the launch of your Fall ministry to children, this is the absolute perfect moment to take some time and look at the safety policies you have in your children's ministry. To help you do this, I'm delighted to point you to an excellent resource from KidCheck which will walk you through the steps you need to take to evaluate what you are currently doing so you can discover anything you need to do so your children's ministry is as safe as it possibly can be. And, great news! This resource is FREE!

Just follow this link and you'll find two things - a short video which is absolutely worth your time to listen to . . . it is like having a safety expert come and sit down with you to help you as you evaluate where you are in providing a safe ministry for children!

Secondly, you'll find a link to a FREE downloadable guide which will be a tremendous help to you as you evaluate where you are in your ministry! The "Improving Child Safety in Your Organization" video and "Child Safety and Security" guide and checklist were designed to provide actionable, specific best practices and suggestions which churches can easily put into practice to help create a safe environment for children in their care. Topics include:  creating a security team, securing your facility, emergency preparation, volunteer/staff policies, general childcare safety and more. You'll find both of these resources at this link.
