What is Your View of God?

What is your view of God? I mean, really. How do you see God? Not just what is it you know about Him from your study of the Bible, but how do you really see God? Do you see Him as Someone Who is, "out to get you"? As Someone Who is, "distant"? Someone Who, "requires much and Who does not want you to be happy"?

Your view of God will be passed on to those in your ministry . . . to your volunteers and to the children and families in your church and community. It really does matter how You see God because the way You see Him will greatly impact how effective you are in ministry.

So, Who is God? Consider the following . . .
  • God always, ALWAYS tells us the truth - this means we can believe and trust Him completely. (Numbers 23:19)
  • God does mighty works no other can do? (Deuteronomy 4:24)
  • God is merciful! (Deuteronomy 4:31)
  • God wants us to love Him with our all - but He does not make us do so. (Deuteronomy 6:5)
  • God daily bears our burdens and saves us! (Psalm 68:19,20)
  • God does not withhold blessings from us when we follow and trust Him! (Psalm 84:11, 12)
  • God loves us and gave His Son to save us! (John 3:16)
These are just a few of the verses which tell us who God is. Knowing these things about God, how does it change the way you see Him? Take some time this week to think about your view of God and how it is shown in the way you live.
