I LOVE Christmas! I LOVE everything about it! I LOVE how it is time to remember what Jesus did for us in leaving Heaven, coming to earth as a human so He could pay the price for us to know, love and walk with Him! Great reason to LOVE Christmas and definitely something to celebrate! So, when I was browsing on Pinterest and found several great ideas for making Advent calendars, I thought it would be fun to share with you so you could use them with the children in your ministry.
If you follow this link you'll find nine ideas for making your own Advent "calendar" . . . I especially like the paper stockings, the train, the lego-inspired blocks and the baby stocking ideas! I think the Christmas tree idea is great too - and there is a link for a free downloadable printable which you can use to make them! Many of these you could write a verse from the Christmas lesson or a prophecy verse on each day's item so along with counting down and finding a small treat children can also read about the best Gift ever - Jesus!
