is a great opportunity to build your selection of puppets as several publishers offer beautiful, unique and fun puppets with their curriculum. These puppets are typically priced affordably, so take a look at the puppets which are available and add them all to your ministry resource room because if you have them, you are likely to use them!
Having said this, Cokesbury has generously offered their new puppet, Rivet for me to give away (USA only)! Cokesbury's 2014 VBS - Workshop of Wonders - is excellent, but whether you use their VBS or not, this puppet is one you can use in your ministry - and I highly recommend using their VBS! If you are over the age of 18 and would like to be included in the drawing for Rivet - which will be on February 27, 2014, please comment below to let me know how God has taken what you have and helped you imagine and build with Him; He has done this over and over again in children's ministry and in the many opportunities He has given me to write for Children's Ministry Magazine, Your Church Magazine, Big Idea VeggieConnections Preschool Curriculum SuperBook and Maralee McKee along with writing About the Children's Department and grandma's cookie jar! God not only takes our imagination and helps us build with Him, but He goes far, far beyond our imaginations!
In addition if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed About the Children's Department by email you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. Plus, if you "share" this post, you'll receive another entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win Rivet and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading About the Children's Department and for sharing it with the people you know!
We could use the puppet in our ministry. I follow on Google friend connect, like on Facebook and follow you in my Feedly reader. Thanks for doing this big project each year!

God has taken my creativity to new levels. I have never been creative. I normally would copy somebody's idea, and just change it. But over the last year, I have been able to with God's help, come up with original ideas.

ReplyDeleteGod has taken my predilection for new things to enable me to try "outside the box" approaches to ministry. It's been a fun ride learning about how diverse children's ministry can be.
