These simple Bible accounts are nice for young readers since each one is just one page of text. Characters and stroies from the Old and New Testament come to life in this beautifully illustrated collection written for young independent readers."

Favorite Features -
- Begins with Hebrews 11:1
- Familiar and loved Berenstain Bear characters
- Includes Activities and Questions from Brother and Sister Bear
- Provides opportunity for families to talk about why they have faith; why they believe in God
Children are definitely likely to run into other children and adults who do not believe in God, so The Berenstain Bears Keep the Faith can be a resource for families to use with young children to help them understand why we believe in God. While I would have liked the story to point to more reasons we believe, it does provide opportunities for families to begin this important conversation.
Zonderkidz says; "Brother and Sister Bear's friend Ferdy Factual loves science. Brother and Sister like science too. But when Ferdy tells Brother and Sister he doesn't believe God created the world, the bear cubs don't know what to think. What does it really mean to have 'faith' in something you can't see?"

- I love the illustrations! Lots of color, detail and texture!
- Story shares the account of Jesus' death and resurrection and tells the reason for "Easter Eggs"
- Encourages prayer and praise to God for His amazing creation
- Includes information about the traditions and symbols of Lent and Easter
In The Legend of the Easter Egg, a young boy stays with family friends while his sister recovers from scarlet fever. He learns about Easter Eggs and more importantly, about Jesus's death on the cross, resurrection and how he can have faith in Jesus. I'd like the story to be more clear about how children - and all of us - put our faith in Jesus and receive forgiveness for our sins, but this story does give families the opportunity to have this all-important conversation with children; and help them understand some of the tradition and symbolism of Lent and Easter.
Zonderkidz says; "When Thomas's older sister, Lucy, falls ill, Thomas goes to live with the Sonnemans in their candy shop. He gets to eat peppermint sticks, fill candy jars and weigh chocolate on the tippy scales, but he misses Lucy. When Easter comes, Mrs. Sonneman gives Thomas his first chocolate egg and Thomas learns the true meaning behind Easter eggs, the empty tomb and the hope found in Jesus. This classic story of faith, love and wonder is sure to be a treasured reminder of the miracle of Easter."
