- If the school year has been filled with ministry to children and families, take a moment to pause, catch your breath and spend some time in God's Word to refresh your soul.
- Check out some of my favorite passages - Psalm 86 and Psalm 62 - make this your prayer from Psalm 62 . . . "Dear God I pray today You will help me remember to find my rest in You alone. Please strengthen me with the truth of knowing my hope comes from You and remind me You alone are my Rock and Salvation, my Stronghold! Please assure me I will not be shaken! As I go through this day please lift my heart in joy as I remember my salvation and glory depends on You because You are my Strong Rock, my Refuge and my God! Please help me trust You always and comfort me as I pour out my heart before You. I praise You for being my Refuge! Reassure me strength belongs to You! Please help me rest in Your faithful love! Thank You, Amen!"
- If your school year was not filled with ministry to children and families, take a moment to pause and prepare yourself for the launch of your Summer ministry!
In children's ministry we often tend to be moving from one program, ministry or activity to the next - often at "break-neck" speed - and we may not take the time to pause and refresh; so today, stop what you are doing and take time to Pause! How do you, "Pause"?
Tomorrow I'll write about, "Reflecting"!
Thanks, for the great reminder, Lynda!
