A Few Thoughts from a Grandma

In children's ministry we focus on children and parents; for good reason as these are the

primary people impacted by our children's ministry. But, as a grandma, I want to say, we are people who care deeply about what happens in the children's ministry. 

I care very much about the children's ministry at my grand-children's church. Specifically, these are the things I care so much about . . . 

• If their church is intentional about engaging the boys from their youngest ages, so they will grow up as people who look forward to going to church and who love to learn about Jesus!
• If they are also intentional about supporting and encouraging their parents. Being a parent is not an easy job. The church can help parents with this difficult and most important responsibility of pointing children to Jesus
• If they are focused on helping children trust and follow Jesus for the rest of their lives!
• If they are serious about insuring their ministry is as safe as possible

There are other things I care about, but these are the most important to me.

As a grandma, I also want to say, "Thank you!" to all of you who serve in children's ministry. What you do matters and is oh, so very important!
