Why I say, "You'll find - as I did - joining CM Connect is one of the best things you ever did when it comes to children's ministry!"

I have served in children's ministry for almost 43 years (I began when I was ten years old teaching a class of four year olds on Wednesday nights at my church.) In these years I've served in pretty much every area of children's ministry. I've been blessed to serve in large, medium and small churches over the years and can honestly say, I love everything about children's ministry!

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with MS and Lupus. After these diagnoses I was not able to serve in my church's children's ministry due to complications of these illnesses and church politics. I was actually, literally stuck in my home for six to seven months of the year and felt isolated, lonely and wondered if I had anything more to offer children's ministry. I began writing this blog and was contacted by Michael Chanley with the offer to join CM Connect. It was a "life-line" and a true gift from the hand of God! Through CM Connect I was able to "meet" and get to know so many wonderful people who have a heart for children's ministry! I did not feel so isolated and alone any longer!

I am at a new church now where I am honored, delighted and over-joyed to serve once again! We have found several "answers" to the complications with the MS and Lupus so I am no longer stuck at home, but I have to say, having been able to connect on CM Connect when I was stuck at home is a gift I am truly thankful for!
