Take Time to Spend Time - Isaiah 26, 28 & 30 - Perfect Peace!

This week I've been talking about taking time to spend time talking with God. We might think this is a "no-brainer", but when we get busy in children's ministry, we might let our own personal time with God, "slip". So, this week, I'm encouraging you to, "take time to spend time" talking with God!

I've been sharing passages with you from Isaiah this week because I've found them to be so encouraging! Today I'd like to encourage you to read some verses from Isaiah 26, 28 and 30 . . . 

Isaiah 26:3-9, 12; 28:16; 30:18 – “ ³ You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. ⁴ Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal. ⁵ He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; ⁷ The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. ⁸ Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. ⁹ My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you ¹² LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us." ¹⁶ So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. ¹⁸ Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” (NIV)

Just think about it for a minute! God tells us, not only will He give us peace, but He will give us perfect peace when we keep our minds on Him! We can keep our minds on Him - no matter what we are going through - because we absolutely can trust Him! God is our Rock; He gives us stability and "level" paths to walk on, so when we trust Him and wait for HIm He gives us this perfect peace! God wants to be gracious to us and show us compassion - we are so very blessed!

Dear God, on this day I want to praise You for Your promise to give me perfect peace when I am steadfast about trusting You! I will trust You forever because You, LORD, are my Rock eternal! I thank You for making my path level and my way smooth when I walk in the way of Your laws and wait for You. You are the desire of my heart: I yearn for You in the night and long for You in the morning. You give me peace: I know all I have accomplished, You have done for me and I thank and praise You for Your many blessings! Thank You for sending Jesus, the Tested Stone, the Precious Cornerstone as my Sure Foundation! Please help me find strength in knowing when I rely and  trust Him, I will never be dismayed! I praise You for Your grace, compassion, and justice; I will wait for You! Thank You for Your love for me; I love You, too! Amen.

As you go through this day, remember; God gives us perfect peace and we absolutely can trust Him!
