A Prayer for Children Heading Back to School

Where I live in West Michigan, today is the first day of the new school year. So, today I'm sharing with you a prayer for children who are heading back to school . . . or for any who are in school this year. I especially love what Jesus prayed for His disciples in John 17; it is my prayer for my grandsons. Look what He prayed . . . 

15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

I also love the following verses from II Peter 3 . . . 

18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

So, my prayer for children in school this year is . . .

Dear God on this day I'm praying for the children who are heading back to school. Please protect them from the evil one and help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus; to HIm be glory both now and forever! Thank You for Your love for them; Amen!

As much as we love and care about the children in our ministries as they head to school, God loves them even more; spend time talking with God about and for them. Make prayer a priority this year!
