ministry, with my tip #12 - know God Is Big Enough!
It is another of Satan's tired, old bag of tricks which, sadly, we fall for far too often when we think - but likely do not say - our problems are just too big for anyone; God included. Clearly this is definitely one of his lies. It is easy for us to think the problems and challenges we face are just too big, but this just is not the truth.
So what is the truth? Consider the following -
- God is far bigger than we think He is and He is able to do ever so much more than we can even begin to imagine!
- People do tend to live up - and down - to our expectations of them.
When we start thinking our problems are just too big, we run the risk of becoming extremely discouraged; we may even leave children's ministry. Discouragement and giving up are absolutely not from God.
God is big enough; this is the truth! He is able to do ever so much more than we can even begin to imagine! Do not fall for satan's tired, old bag of tricks and fall for the lie that our problems and challenges are just too big.
When you find yourself believing this lie, spend time reading through the Bible, specifically looking at accounts of how God showed Himself to be big enough! I recommend reading 2 Chronicles 20 in particular! And, again, spend time in prayer talking with God about it. To keep yourself from falling for this lie, once again, spend time in prayer talking with God about it. Yes, I know, prayer is showing up a lot in my "what to do about it section"; but it is important for today, too!
