Special Give-Away - To the Sea

I was recently invited to review a new book from Graham Blanchard; since it sounded like a book which would be a wonderful addition to church nurseries and for families to have in their home, I said "yes". They sent it to me, and are making another available for me to give away - but first, here is my opinion of, To The Sea.

Favorite Features -

• Sturdy board book will hold up to children for years
• Lovely illustrations
• Simple text/story about a day on the beach at the sea
• Provides opportunities to talk with little ones about the sea and how God created it and gives us "good days in the sun".

My grandsons were at my house when To The Sea arrived, so Josiah (age six) sat right down to read it to his younger brothers. Josiah thought the story did a good job of describing a day at the beach. I like the illustrations and the focus throughout the story of the little things we may not stop to notice which are part of a day at the beach. I like also, how the story makes it very easy to engage children in wiggling their toes and thanking God for His wondrous creation - of the sea and of them as well!
