In our world today, even young children are practically "bombarded" with messages which counter this and leave them thinking they may not be who they were made by God to be. Our culture is very "counter" God's Word and one result is children, youth and adults who are confused about who they are. We need to help the children in our ministries and families believe they can know God knew what He was doing when He created them. They are not an, "accident". They are not a "mistake". They are the boys or girls God created them to be. They can grow up to be godly boys or girls who know, love and walk with God and one day be godly young men or women who know, love and walk with God.
Our world is rapidly moving towards being a society where it is considered "normal" to "change" who we were born as or to have a confused view of who we were created to be. TV, movies and music all present views counter to God's Word as being "truth". These messages are everywhere and can be confusing. It is essential for us to help the children in our ministries and families know, understand and believe the truth; God knew what He was doing when He created them. We can help children with this by . . .
- Being intentional in the way we communicate this message to children.
- We can speak the message to children about how glad and thankful we are to know God knew what He was doing when He created them to be boys or girls. It can be powerful for little boys to hear God knew what He was doing when He created them to be boys and likewise for little girls to hear God knew what He was doing when He created them to be girls. Say this, speak this, so children grow up hearing it.
- We can - and must - pray for the children in our ministries to know and believe God knew what He was doing when He created them. Greater is He Who is in us, than he who is in the world - even if it feels like the world is becoming a place where Satan's power is greater, it isn't. God is greater and He hears, listens to and answers our prayers!
- Talk with the children in your ministries and family about why you are so glad God knew what He was doing when He created you.
Behind all the "political correctness" society is embracing, there is a deep scar left on people who believe there is something which is "wrong" or a "mistake" about their "being". How can there not be? But, when children are able to grow up and know in their soul God knew what He was doing when He created them, and, as we talked about yesterday, He has a good plan for them, they are able to experience great joy and peace.
We must help the children in our ministries and families know and believe God knew what He was doing when He created them. How are you doing this?
