Hillsong UNITED Empires - Releases on May 26, 2015 & I'm Giving One Away!

From the Inside Out, Shout Unto God, Mighty to Save, How Great is our God, Here I Am to Worship, King of Majesty, Faithful and the list goes on and on!

If you are familiar with and have sung any of these songs, then you are familiar with the band by the name of Hillsong United. They began as a worship band from Hillsong Church, in 1998. This Aussie band is known for powerful lyrics which are being sung in churches around the world.

This Tuesday, May 26, 2015, their new release, UNITED Empires, is available on CD and as digital copies. UNITED Empires features twelve songs which are focused on being Biblically sound. As the songs are written, they are reviewed to be sure they stay true to God's Word.

Hillsong United says; "Empires is the story of two worlds. Our prayer and desire has been to simply create the most honest project we could. Songs which seek to listen first, and then with God’s breath speak the good news reality of Jesus and His grace into the dichotomy, tension and hopeful-collision of this broken and fragile world we see here and now, and the unshakeable and mysterious reality of the Kingdom we can’t see, but no-less know is here - and NOW."

This Tuesday is the day these songs will become available and you can expect they will challenge, encourage and draw you closer as you worship God. I found the songs to be especially powerful; I particularly like - Touch the Sky - "What fortune lies beyond the stars, Those dazzling heights too vast to climb. I get so high to fall so far, But I found Heaven as love swept low. My heart beating, My soul breathing, I found my life, When I laid it down. Upward falling, Spirit soaring, I touch the sky, When my knees hit the ground. What treasure waits within Your scars, The gift of freedom gold can't buy, I bought the world and sold my heart, You traded Heave to have me again. Find me here at Your feet again, Everything I am, Reaching out I surrender. come sweep me up in Your love again, And my soul will dance, On the wings of forever."

I found most of the songs to be more "personal". Songs I'd more likely sing to God on my own, not necessarily in a congregation. Some are sure to become favorites for the church to sing, but I would not be surprised to find most will not. I see, Empires as a call to worship in a personal way; which is actually quite a treat and blessing.
