From time to time I receive a new Berenstain Bears book from Zonderkidz in exchange for my review where I share my own opinions about the books - I have two of their books which I'm happy to share with you today . . . and I'm giving one of them away!

The Berenstain Bears' Harvest Festival

Favorite Features -
- The The Berenstain Bears Storybook Bible for Little Ones is a fun first "Bible" for our littlest ones.
- Padded board book - great for little hands with no pages to tear and a level of "durableness" - toddlers could certainly carry this book, and look through it on their own.
- Illustrations of Berenstain Bears in the retelling of each Bible event.
- Features eight familiar, core, Bible events - four from the Old Testament and four from the New Testament.
- The Berenstain Bears' Harvest Festival is a storybook new readers will enjoy reading for themselves and younger children will want to have read to them.
- Children will be able to see how the Bear family enjoys the signs of Fall and then spends time thanking God for His blessings.
- Encourages children to notice God's amazing creation around them and to be thankful.
- "Activities and Questions from Brother & Sister Bear" in the back will help parents/grandparents assist their children in understanding what it means to be thankful.
Zonderkidz says; "The Berenstain Bears Storybook Bible for Little Ones is perfect for young children. Now little ones have a padded board book edition designed just for them, with simple text, bright art, and a padded cover. This cute and durable edition provides an overview of the Bible with ten events from the Old and New Testaments which follow the Bear family as they explore Scripture. The Berenstain Bears Storybook Bible for Little Ones is fun and enlightening for kids and a great resource for parents and educators."
They also say; "Autumn is a beautiful time of year, and the folks of Bear Country are looking forward to everything the season brings. So when the Chapel in the Woods holds its first ever Harvest Festival, people gather at Farmer Ben’s for a wonderful time of family, friends, fun, and praising God for His gifts."
I like The Berenstain Bears Storybook Bible for Little Ones as a book to introduce and reinforce basic, core Bible events with children from the youngest ages. The short retelling of Bible events and illustrations from the Berenstain Bears is sure to capture the attention of little ones and serve to help them learn these core Bible events.
Since Fall is upon us and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, The Berenstain Bears' Harvest Festival is a book entire families can read and enjoy together! I love how it challenges us to notice the Fall with all its blessings and to stop and remember to give thanks to God for these many blessings. A fun story with a solid message - great to read to children and excellent for young readers to read for themselves!

ReplyDeleteApples are first, but squash and pumpkins are close contenders. Thanks for the chance to win. I'm working on getting a children's books available in our chuch's resource room so these would be great for that.
