It's Time to Think about Christmas - a Nativity Set for Each Child!

The first year my husband and I were married (thirty four years ago), he got me the Precious Moments Nativity Set. I love setting up my Nativity Set each year - this year we will set it up when my grandsons are here this coming weekend. We have a bay window in our living room, which is where we put our tree; I will set the Nativity Set in the window as well with the kings traveling across the living room to the Nativity, because I want the focus to be on the Reason for the Season.

So, when I saw ideas for making your own Nativity set on Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to let children make their own set each week leading up to Christmas! Each week have them add to their set by making additional pieces to take home. 

• Week 1 - Joseph, Mary and the Donkey
• Week 2 - Angels and the Shepherds
• Week 3 - Sheep
• Week 4 - baby Jesus and the Star
• Week 5 - after Christmas - the Three Wise Men

Spread the word through church you need all the empty medicine bottles and/or paper towel tubes you can get your hands on! Collect scraps of cloth, make circles for faces and you are ready to begin creating!
