Today, in my week of Christmas crafts, I have an idea you can use which is simple, inexpensive and fun to make . . . and one which the kids could give to their parents as a gift . . . a Popsicle Nativity!Of course I found it on Pinterest; just follow this link and you'll find complete directions for making this craft - which could be an ornament, or like the blog post says, add some magnetic strip for a great magnet!
This would also be a great craft for children to make and then add to gift baskets the church hands out for families in need.
Whatever you decide, this is a craft children can do, and while they work on it, be sure to talk with them about why Jesus was called "Emmanuel" and what it means to them to know Jesus is with them!
