Legacy Grandparent Conference - Breakouts - Part 2

I have no doubt you are invited to attend quite a number of conferences and workshops each and every year, and since time and budgets are not unlimited for any of us, we have to choose which opportunities are most applicable, most useful, and then choose based on these things.

For the past week I have been sharing with you about the Legacy Grandparent Conference and want to invite you to consider attending this opportunity in May, because if you are able to engage, equip, and encourage the grandparents in your ministry to focus on passing on a heritage of faith to their grandchildren, this will benefit the children and families in your ministry and your Children's Ministry will become much stronger! Just think for a moment about how engaged grandparents could benefit your ministry!

So, yesterday I began sharing about the Breakout Sessions . . . this conference will provide you with multiple opportunities to learn, engage, and be encouraged and the Breakouts are one way these things will happen . . . and today I'm happy to let you know about three more Breakout options . . .

  • Cavin-Harper-WebCavin Harper – Unleash the Power of Spoken Blessing - One of the most powerful tools God has given parents and grandparents for their inter-generational toolbox is the spoken blessing. This session will unpack the Biblical principles and practices for establishing a family tradition which can transform the lives of every member of your family.
  • Linda-Jacobs-WebLinda Ranson Jacobs – Discipline Tips When Grandparents Have Custody of the Grandchildren – And How the Church Can Help - Grandchildren who have experienced a trauma may have discipline problems which need extra care and consideration. Grandparents may need help in understanding these grandchildren can’t be raised like the generation before them.
  • Cathy-Jacobs-WebCathy Jacobs – Telling Your Story, aka His Story - Sometimes grandparents struggle to share The Good News of Christ with their children and grandchildren.  In this seminar, Catherine demonstrates how every grandparent has an authentic and powerful story to tell.  By answering three simple questions, grandparents of every denomination, will learn to tell God’s story, as they tell their story to their loved ones.  It is a story worthy of being told which often can lead to further meaningful conversations between grandparent and grandchild.
And this is just a peek at three of the ten Breakout options! So, whether you are a grandparent, about to be a grandparent, or are wanting to know how your church can be more effective in engaging, equipping, and encouraging the grandparents in your ministry, the Legacy Grandparent Conference is for you! You will find the specifics at this link - as well as space to register. Please join us!
