In Children's Ministry there are many things we need to be sure we do, but there are also things which we need to be watching to see we "do not" do; today I'm sharing another of my Top Five Ministry Do Not's . . . - Do not forget to share with the children in your ministry your joy in knowing and walking with God! Tell them how God answers your prayers and be sure to pray with them about the things which matter to them.
So, if you are going to commit to remember to share with the children in your ministry the joy of knowing and walking with God, what can you do to be sure you are doing this? Consider the following ideas . . .
- Plan time into your events for sharing how God is working in your life and how you are experiencing the joy of knowing and walking with Him.
- Train your volunteers to be sure to share with the children in their classes/groups each week how God is working in their lives and how they are experiencing this joy as well.
- Plan time into every time you meet for children to be able to share how they are growing in their walk with God as well.
- Focus upon praising God, praying and sharing answers to prayer each time you meet as well.
These are just a few ideas . . . what might you do to help children discover the joy of knowing and walking with God?
