- For God to open their eyes. (2 Kings 6:16, 17 - 16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.) I pray for the children to have open eyes so they will see their need for Jesus, for them to have open eyes so they will be able to see what the wise and godly choices are for their lives in this world which is so very dark and so they will be able to see how God is working in their lives. I also pray for them to have open eyes so they will be able to see the truth in this world where so many are deceived by Satan's lies. I pray for them to have open eyes.
I want the children to see they need Jesus, to see the wise and godly choices before them, to see how God is working in their lives in big and small ways and so they are able to see the truth and will not be deceived by Satan's lies. I pray these things for my grown children and grandchildren, too.
There are certainly other things I pray about for the children in my church, but these are the ones I begin with. What do you pray about for the children in your ministry?
