Satan has the same, tired, old bag of tricks which, sadly, we fall for. Convincing us nobody cares about the Children's Ministry, and worse, God doesn't really care either, is definitely one of his lies. It is easy for us to think we are the only ones who care about the Children's Ministry, but this just is not the truth.
So what is the truth? Consider the following -
- God cares the most. God loves the Children's Ministry, because God loves the children. This means He absolutely cares about the Children's Ministry!
- Parents and grandparents care about the Children's Ministry - they may not be quick to sign up to help, but they do care about it.
- Volunteers care about the Children's Ministry.
- Church leaders care about the Children's Ministry.
When we start thinking we are the only ones who care about the Children's Ministry, we run the risk of having a really bad attitude where we see other with a negative view and we get too high a view of ourselves (a martyr complex).
God does care the most; this is the truth. He is the One Who gave His only Son so we can all be forgiven and know and walk with Him. Jesus is the One Who gave His life so we can all be forgiven and know and walk with Him. Do not fall for Satan's tired, old bag of tricks and fall for the lie of how nobody cares about the Children's Ministry except for you.
When you find yourself believing this lie, spend time in prayer talking with God about it. To keep yourself from falling for this lie, spend time in prayer talking with God about it. Yes, I know, prayer was my tip for yesterday; but it is important for today, too!
