Children's Ministry . . . Equip Parents & Engage Grandparents

Children's Ministry, of course, is about and for children. You plan your curriculum, events, classrooms, resources and volunteers to serve, minister to and reach children.

You also need to focus upon parents; they are, after all, the most influential people in the lives of the children in your ministry. So, you plan events to be sure the parents know what you are doing, the goals and vision of your Children's Ministry and opportunities to equip and encourage the parents as they hand down the faith to their children.

But, for your Children's Ministry to be most effective, you also must give time and attention to the grandparents; yes, the grandparents as they are the second most influential people in the lives of the children in your ministry. If you invest the time it takes to equip and encourage grandparents, so they are able to hand down the faith, the impact upon the children in your ministry will be significant.

So, plan effective ministry with the children, equip parents and engage the grandparents; these three components will combine for a Children's Ministry which is most effective!
