Hand Down the Faith with "Mystery Bags" - Believe in God Even When We Do Not Understand

One of the most important things we do in Children's Ministry is to equip, encourage and empower the grandparents and parents of the children in our ministry, so they are able to hand down the faith to the children we all love. On my other blog, Grandmas with Heart, I share an idea each Wednesday for "Mystery Bags" - a way to engage grandchildren/children in learning about walking with God. I thought you might also enjoy today's "Mystery Bag" as an idea you could share with the parents and grandparents of the children in your ministry - I said . . .

Last month I shared an idea with you for a Mystery Bag using zippy bags, water and sharpened pencils. Today I want to use this same project, but with a different, and important focus. Don't worry, your grandchildren will not mind at all repeating the project with the zippy bags . . . my grandsons love repeating this one!

The point is a very important one for us to be purposeful in handing down to our grandchildren - yes, there will be times in their lives when they do not understand what is happening to and around them. Yes, there will be things in the Bible which they do not understand; but, just because we do not understand something, it does not mean we are no longer able to believe in God.
