I posted this today on my other blog - Grandmas with Heart, but thought with the children from your churches home from school, you might like to share it with their parents and grandparents. We, and the children we love, are living in what is most certainly able to be considered an uncertain time. But, while we do not know what all to expect from day to day, we do know God has good things in store for us and we are able to pray the ones we love will be able to see those, "good things".
We know this is true, because God promises it in Jeremiah 29:11 -
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
While we do not know what is, "around the corner" for our grandchildren, children, family, friends, and ourselves, we know God does. As we all experience this uncertainty, consider involving your grandchildren in making a periscope as a "Mystery Bag" project to help them learn and remember how they are able to trust God's plans for them.
