My grandsons look forward to celebrating Children’s Day. The boys will choose our menu - it will not surprise me if we have root beer floats! Since it will be warm out, we will also have a full-scale water war with squirt guns and the water hose, plus we are trying out a slip and slide, so getting wet will be part of our celebration for sure.
And, along with the fun (and we will have lots of fun), I plan to use this day to be intentional about reminding my grandsons how much I love them, how very thankful I am God blessed our family with each of them, and how much He loves them!
Share this holiday with the families in your church - encourage them to celebrate the children they - and you - love. (Consider encouraging them to give their children/grandchildren a gift to help them learn something essential - the book Praying Deeper Through the Psalms for Children - as learning to talk with God is one of the most important things they need to learn - you will find it at this link.)

I love Children’s Day – one of my favorite days of the year . . . for very good reason!
