I love pretty much everything about Children's Ministry, but one of my favorite things is thanking and appreciating the volunteers - after all, what is more fun than expressing a heart-felt thank you?!!!
Consider handing out a "thank you" to the volunteers at your church - a simple item, but one which will provide an on-going thank-you. Order Lego 2x2 bricks (orange for Sunday morning volunteers and white for Wednesday night volunteers), glue pin tacks to the back of each one, put each pin through a card with Ephesians 4:16 printed on them, (From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.) along with the red "Thank You" design shown above and a "Thank you" from you; "Thank you for doing 'your part' to help the children trust and follow Christ for the rest of their lives!" Our volunteers all wear a photo id on a lanyard, so they will be able to pin their Lego pin to their lanyard.
This is just a simple, "Thank you", which took a little time to put together, but all completely worth it when your volunteer's faces light up! It is so worth it to take the time to say, "Thank you" to those who serve faithfully every week! Saying, "Thank you" regularly and with a little fun and creativity goes a long way to showing them they are truly valued!
What are you doing this year to thank your volunteers?
