But, it is equally as important for us to teach children the "whys" - why we are able to believe what we believe. If we do not teach the "whys" we run the risk of losing the children we love. Barna's studies show more and more young people are leaving their faith and turning to atheism because they do not know the "whys" - why they are able to believe God is real, the Bible is true, God and science do go together, and God is good. Teaching the "whys" matters - we absolutely want children to know why they are able to believe.
While we have excellent curriculum resources to help us teach the "whats", we do not have resources to help us and the parents/grandparents teach the "whys". This is why I am writing a "whys" curriculum. This curriculum will supplement any curriculum you are currently using in your Children's Ministry. It will also enable you to equip parents/grandparents so they are able to teach the "whys" to the children they love alongside what you are doing with them at church.
Please stay tuned for information on this new curriculum resource to supplement what you are doing to teach the "whats" and help you also teach the "whys".
