An Excellent Resource for Parents & Grandparents

One of the most important things we need to do on a regular basis as leaders in Children's Ministry is to provide resources for parents and grandparents which will equip them to hand down confident faith. Today I am very happy to share one such resource with you - please share it with the parents and grandparents in your ministry.

"Alister McGrath was an atheist when he started studying physics as a young man. But by the time he finished at university he was convinced that Christianity could bring together his scientific passions with many of the questions that lay outside the realms of science.

Since that time, he’s built up some serious credentials, including doctoral degrees in both science and theology. And he has been teaching, preaching, and writing on the subject for over 30 years. To say he is a prolific author is a bit of an understatement. His author page on Amazon runs onto seven pages. These books run the gamut from scholarly tomes, to pastoral works, to biographies, even some fiction."

Today I am very happy to share with you links to a fantastic pod-cast which will help you find solid answers to important "why" questions with Alister McGrath and Jim Stump from BioLogos. I firmly believe grandparents/parents need to know the "whys", so they are able to teach them to the children they love - why they are able to believe God is real, the Bible is true, God and science do go together, and God is good. When they teach the ones they love these "whys", they will be able to have a confident faith.

Happily there are resources to help them do this - and the podcasts from BioLogos are an excellent source - they listen/read, learn, and are then able to teach the ones they love. Please check out the podcast at this link - https://biologos.org/podcast-episodes/alister-mcgrath-journey-of-science-story-of-faith - Alister McGrath - Journey of Science, Story of Faith and share it with the parents and grandparents in your ministry.
