Today is the last VBS review for 2022 and I'm happy to look at "Jerusalem Marketplace
I'm delighted to announce today Group Publishing's VBS for 2022 - Monumental - Celebrating God's Greatness - which is great fun, but most importantly, has solid Bible teaching and learning to impact lives for a life-time!
Once you decide which Vacation Bible School resource is the best "fit" for your unique ministry it is time to begin sharing your goals and vision with the people in your church and start thinking about the important and fun "task" of finding your volunteers! Look in your director's manual and you will probably find well thought-out and designed recruiting information - everything from how to determine how many volunteers you need to specific "job" descriptions for each position you need to fill. Sit down and spend some time familiarizing yourself with these "positions" and then pray. Ask God to lay on your heart the people who He would have serve in those positions. Involve the people of your church by sharing your vision/goals and ask them to pray God will lay on the hearts of all of them exactly how they may best be involved.
The second VBS I received for review this year is from Regular Baptist Press. With covid impacting Children's Ministries the past two years I did not write my yearly VBS reviews. But this year it is possible churches will be able to hold VBS once again, so I am writing VBS reviews for 2022. However; I am only reviewing five VBS resources - the five I believe to be the best. I already wrote about Orange's Make Waves (you will find at this link) so today I'm sharing with you Kookaburra Coast from Regular Baptist Press where they will learn about God's glory.
Believe it or not, it is almost time to choose your VBS curriculum for Summer 2022! My 2022 VBS reviews have begun to post - yesterday I shared Orange's Make Waves and tomorrow I'll post another VBS review. I'll also have posts covering all things VBS, from recruiting, training and promoting your VBS to additional ways to make use of these resources.
Orange did a great job with the content and substance of this VBS resource and they provide a lot of options for you. Take a look and consider if Make Waves is a good "fit" for your Children's Ministry!
As someone who serves in Children's Ministry it is not unusual for parents/grandparents to ask you for recommendations when they decide to buy a Bible for the children they love. I was recently sent the Defend Your Faith Bible - the Apologetics Bible for Kids to review for another blog I write, but I am so impressed with this Bible, so I knew I had to let you know about it as well. If you are looking for Bibles you are able to recommend, absolutely take a close look at this one.
