I write often about how essential it is for our churches to equip, empower, and encourage grandparents so they are able to hand down confident faith. Clearly I believe this is a vital part of our Children's Ministry and ministry of the church, yet in far too many churches they do little, if anything, to connect with the grandparents in an intentional and focused way beyond just a Senior Saints Ministry.
Just because this is how it has been, it does not mean it has to continue to be this way. Churches are able to equip grandparents and when they do, they will find the families in their church - and their Children's/ Youth Ministries are stronger. So, go back through these posts, find at least one idea you are able to implement and start today to make a difference by equipping, empowering, and encouraging the grandparents. It will make a difference which matters.
