My Christmas Carol for Today - Carol of the Bells by Pentatonix

I did not think it was possible to love the song - Carol of the Bells more than I do, but listening to Pentatonix sing it I realized I now love it even more! You will find it at this link.

I found some very interesting history for this song online - you will find the full post at this link, but they said, "This was a Uranian  folk song written as a 'winter well-wishing song,' said Anthony Potoczniak, a Rice University anthropology graduate student who is studying the song’s history.

Written in 1916 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich and titled 'Shchedryk,' the song tells the tale of a swallow flying into a household to proclaim the plentiful year the family will have. The song’s title is derived from the Ukrainian word 'shchedryj,' which means 'bountiful.'"
